  1. Pay the non-refundable $50 per child supply fee. This covers snacks and supplies for the year. This fee will hold your spot for the next year.
  2. Complete all enrollment paperwork including authorization to pick up list.
  3. All PreK/K students must be fully potty trained. There must also be a set of clean clothes in a Ziplock bag labeled with their name and “after school care” given to the program to use for accidents. This must be given to us at Open House and/or before school starts.
  4. Pay any outstanding balance owed to Red After School Care.

Waitlist

If there are no spots available in the program, interested families will be added to the waitlist. We fill spots from this list throughout the school year.

Hours

Part Day: Dismissal to 4:30pm   Full Day: Dismissal to 6:15pm

Note: We are not in session if the school is closed. This includes in-service days as well as inclement weather days. We follow HISD and Red Elementary when closing the program for emergencies.

Tuition

Part Day: $150/month per a student (no sibling discount)

Full Day: $250/month per a student ($50 sibling discount)

We do not offer drop-ins from non-enrolled families.

Enrolled part day families may utilize staying later (up to 6:15pm) for an additional $25 a day per a child. This must be cleared with the director ahead of time.

Tuition is due on the first of every month. A $50 late fee (per family) will be added on the 5th. If the tuition is not paid in full by the 10th, your child will be removed from the program. A removal fee of $100 will be added to your account. All tuition and fees must be paid in full to re-enroll in the program if a spot becomes available. Any open spots will be filled from the waitlist immediately.

Switching between program (part day/full day) is only available at the beginning of the month and cannot be changed back until the next month.

Note: Full Tuition is due on the 1st of September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, and May.

We do not offer any modifications on the program rates. We only pro-rate when a family starts mid-month. Tuition is non-refundable.

Potty-Training (Pre-K)

All PreK students must keep a change of clothing at the program for accidents. If a student is sent home in their change of clothes, a new set must be sent the next day. The program keeps emergency back-up clothes to use when a student does not have any clothes on hand. If we use the emergency clothes, we will charge the family $10.

Please remember that to be in the program, a student must be potty trained.

Pick-Up Procedures

Parents will pick up from the red gates by the cafeteria using a carline system. Parents must wait in their cars for safety of the children.

Parents will be issued on the first day of school or at open house a car tag. This will identify to the staff member working the door the name of the student you are picking up. If someone without the car tag picks up, they will need to bring ID.

All people authorized to pick up must be listed on the enrollment paperwork. If during the year you need to add someone or remove someone, please contact the director by email.

We will not release to someone not on the pick-up list.

We are not able to pull students from tutorials or clubs. You will need to contact the school.

Please notify the director if a student will not be in after school care.

Staff Members do hold the right to ask for ID at any time even from parents and people with the car tag.

Note: The school and the afterschool care program do not share authorization lists. Please notify both.

Tardy Pick-Up

The latest you can pick up in the part day program is 4:30pm. At 4:31 a $5 per minute late fee will be charged on your second tardy.

The latest you can pick up in the full day program is 6:15pm. At 6:16 a $5 per minute late fee will be charged on your second tardy.

The charges will automatically be added to your next invoice.

Activities

Snack is provided for both part day and full day.

Part Day: Snack, Quiet Time (homework/reading/studying), Outside Time, and Games/Crafts.

Full Day: Snack, Quiet Time (homework/reading/studying), Outside Time, and Games/Crafts.

We will go outside every day if weather permits. Please make sure your child has the appropriate outerwear and a refillable water bottle.

Homework is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Our program encourages independent homework completion, but we are not able to work one on one with students. We do not in contact the teachers of what exactly is due and when.

Behavior Expectations

  • No fighting, hitting, pushing, or unwelcome touching
  • No foul language
  • Respect for staff and fellow students
  • No toys
  • No cell phones
  • Follow directions from staff and rules of the program.
  • No taking other students or teachers belongings.
  • Must be potty trained.

Failure to follow behavior expectations will result in removal from the program. We use a discipline system of two verbal warnings, two written warnings, and then removal from the program.

Snacks

Please list any allergies/food aversions/prohibited food (braces, etc.) on the enrollment forms.

If your child is picky or extra hungry, please send a snack from home.

Students need to bring a re-fillable water bottle or drink from home every day.

Removal/Withdrawal from the Program

If a family wishes to withdraw from the program, they must notify the director by email or letter before the last day of the month. Failure to do so will result in a $100/per child fee that must be paid before a family can return.

Paying your tuition is what holds your spot. If you withdraw from the program, your spot will be filled.

If a student needs to be removed from the program, a notice will be sent home from the director.

Returned Checks

If you have a check returned the following will happen:

1. We will assess a $25 returned check fee.

2. If it’s after the 5th of the month, the late fee will be applied.

3. You have two days to make payment (tuition, late fee, and retuned check fee) by cash or credit card.
